Tomorrow's my B-Day

Yep, it's true.

Tomorrow when you wake up, you will hear angels singing. I am going to be 37!!! Can you believe that? 37! Gosh, I am feeling old. Not old like the other moderators (we call that ancient), just old. But I do not suffer from PHD (Portugese Hair Deprivation), have retained all of my good looks, and the years have taught me to be modest. I have not let the fact that I have been voted Sailnet's Best Looking Sailor go to my head. In fact, I never mention it.

SO when you wake up tomorrow, think of me. The heavens will be. Any statues you want to construct in my honor for celbration of this momentous occasion should be done with precision and humility. If you could make at least one of them transportable, I know of a certain Dock in Portugal I feel would like to have it permanently mounted at.

Thank you everyone in advance for the presents that I am sure to come.

With all modesty and sincerity, you extremely good looking exqusite sailor,

- CD

Hey, wait a minute, I'm also 37! And I didn't feel old until I read your post! Thanks. In any event, have a wonderful B-Day. Hope you are able to celebrate on the water.

Really setting the bar high there aren't you?

In honor of the date your birth we, your friends here at Sailnet, commissioned this statue of your likeness, in your honor. We are still looking for the best place to mount this, but (excuse the pun) after just a few seconds of thinking about it, we do have an idea where you can put it...

The other moderator (Cam) is TWICE that age. He has no teeth and is round as a donut. I am scared that I might end up that way too. It really scares me. I think it is starting to show too. For example, I have noticed that I am having a little more trouble bench pressing 500lbs now. I have had to knock off 10-15 lbs. It is beginning to bother me. Also, I am getting a little winded after my 5 mile swim every morning.

You having this problem too?

37???? CD, I always thought you were in your late 50s or early 60s, semi-retired, and enjoyed playing the strict, sometimes crazy, father figure who see himself as the elder disciplinarian here on Sailnet.

Now I feel old; I don't want to trade-in the Dehler for a Catalina!!!!
