Ahhhhh.... Bliss
We launched Pelican yesterday and slept on her last night. It's so good to be home again. I don't know if I can do another Winter...

My boat's been in a week tomorrow. Should be stepping the mast tomorrow, not like it is that big a deal on my boat...

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I'm so jealous labatt - that's always been a great event for us. To make it worse, this morning the new owner of my boat called me from True Blue after sleeping aboard, thanking me for the boat. At least I'll get to sail her on occasion - 'til the next one comes along.
Have you had any recent offers on Pelican?

Stepping the mast on a Telstar 28 is a really simple thing to do, since there's a mast-raising system built into the boat.
And, I have heard most of the multihull jokes...but if you want to try and come up with some new ones...I'll listen.

Chris, What do you have, one more month of sailing season up there. I've been in for 6 weeks now, made the trip to NJ, and seen my first Nor'easter this season already. Life is good.

ugh. I'm still working on projects. The wedding and honeymoon set me back schedule-wise. Work has been insane too. At some point we will be sailing again but i just FINALLY got the sails back on last weekend. this weekend will be more work... and then finally we go to the coast for a couple days on Sunday... but not to sail.... to install a bilge. Oh well... atleast once the projects are out of the way i can expect to sail through November.

Yes... and for that experience i would sacrifice another couple months of sailing atleast.
It's one thing to see the pictures/videos and to talk about Giulietta here on sailnet but it's an amazing experience to actually sail her in person. That boat is awesome. Slightly tempermental but maybe she got that from her owner!!! heh heh
