Memorial Day

Everyone have a great Memorial Day weekend and while you're out there sailing give a thought to all those who helped make it possible.

Well said... and remember, wear your PFDs.... if you're singlehanding, tie in using your tether and harness... and have fun.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Well said Tom...and let's not forget those who served in the merchant marine during wartime and lost their lives and are not memorialized anywhere else. They too served their country bravely.

Sailed down to New York harbor on Wednesday to watch the parade of ships come in for Fleet week. Saw all the Sailors maning the rail, They look so young, but I am glad and proud they are out there.
