My Laptop Was Found!!! Amazing!!!!

When you think all hope in the World is lost..I got an email proving the contrary!!!!

Apparentely a guy was arrested in a State in the US (off course I will not say which), and guess what...MY LAPTOP WAS FOUND!!!!

I called the Sheriff, a very poilte man, and asked him if he could go in a back room and beat the guy, like our cops do in Portugal, but he said he couldn't..he would lose his job and get sued....weird...our cops do it and we're ok with it...maybe that's why you can walk around any town freely any time of the day...

I have identified the laptop as being mine with him...and all that...now please send it to me...

Bad news:

1) They need to hold on to it until the trial is done, because the man has done worse than just using my laptop...it's evidence I was told..

2) We don't know how long that will take. But if my files are there they offered in exchange of keeping the computer for a while, to send me a cd with all my files...so Cam...I would pray...I had some exquisite photoshops there...

They need a power cord that makes it work, and accoring to him..there are many many power cords there, so mine isn't the only one...



So now that my laptop is found, and hoping all my work files and photos are there...looks like I may very well make a few more videos!!

Wonderful news!

Recall I mentioned the remote possibility of it being found? To tell the truth, I was more trying to soften the blow -- but I'm glad it came true!!

Now the bad news: Our stolen property was recovered many months ago, but it still has not been returned to us -- "evidence". So I would definitely take them up on the offer to get your data back to you.

GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!! Glad to hear that you have a good chance of atleast getting the files back, if not the whole laptop! I'll bet the stinkin theive was never even able to access the files because of a password. You did have it secured with a password right?

Yes it had a password, and according to what i was told, Sony Vaio is hard to break in..but you know..these guys are smart.

That is Great news Alex - congratulations!

I wouldn't be so certain of how smart they are (assuming it's a gang of thieves? - could be a solo act) considering their career choice and the fact that they were caught.

Alex, that is great news!!! So, did the police tell you whether a hotel employee was involved in the theft? Mechele had her own theory about what happened, but I will not mention it here!

Great news Alex, glad to hear that. Now all your photoshop work will be called into evidence for the jury to see. You may even have to come back to explain the images. I'll bet if the cops get it working and see what you've done they'll have no interest in keeping it for long and will ship it back like a hot potato

Don't hold your breath, even if he pleads guilty you are looking at six months or more to get it back.
