They barely avoided another overtime game and the Detroit Red Wings are Stanley Cup champions yet again. Only thing Detroit has going for it, eh?

Once again...the Cup remains in its' true home...the USA!!

Cam, Detroit is actually north of Windsor, Ontario so it's almost like it's in it's true home - the True North, Strong and Free. The actual Stanley Cup is in Toronto at the Hockey Hall of Fame. The one that is presented is one of 2 copies. So if you want to see the real Stanley Cup you'll have to come to Canada.
Congrats, Wings. Throughout the entire season they were the best team in the NHL and they deserved to win the Cup.

Pittsburgh would have been gone in four games if they didn't have an exceptionally good goalie. Detroit tested him constantly in Game Five, and if they hadn't taken a stupid penalty in 3rd OT, I think they should have won then. They were clearly the better team.

Which of you Canucks thought that one up eh? We Yanks should have done that with the America's Cup! We ain't getting it back till sometime after you get your replicas back!

Kind of hard not to - last time I checked a map, Pittsburgh was in Pennsylvania.

BTW - it was won by a bunch of Swedes.

Detroit is a superb team (and I emphasize team). I'll be interested in how Pittsburgh does next season now that they realize how good Detroit was and what it takes to win. Remember, Edmonton got swept in four straight in '83 and we all know what happened after.
