Pregnancy Pact In Gloucester Massachusetts

17 underage girls in a high school in Gloucester Massachusetts have become pregnant, most apparently by older men, some kind of a pregnancy pact.

I think social services should go into Gloucester and round up every child in the town and put them into foster care. It's obvious that the institutions such as the public school system, the parents, etc, are creating an environment that allows older men to exploit young innocent women, get them pregnant, etc, etc, etc ...

Where's social services at now ?

Where's the judge ordering the black helicopters in ?

Where are the buses taking the women and children in the community to detention ?

Where's Nancy Grace with all of her moral indignation ?

Where's the outrage now ?

Hypocrisy. Now that it's urban kids, it's okay. Now that religion isn't involved it's just some girls that got a little out of control and made some bad decisions, but certainly nobody is going to round them up and do DNA tests before they can have their kids back. Now it's all kids who live in the northeast, kids that could be your kids, kids you can identify with ... so it's okay, it doesn't matter anymore that the fathers were "dirty old men", in some cases apparently even homeless people used for the simple purpose of becoming pregnant. It's all just misguided kids now, they deserve another chance, we have to have sympathy for them ... kids who made a mistake, nothing that doesn't happen every day in the city where underage girls get pregnant all the time, etc. Outrageous. The hypocrisy is outrageous.

Of course, most of the fathers to be are legally adults...and the girls are legally minors... so I see a mass of statutory rape prosecutions.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

But wait! Apparently some health care workers, or counselors, resigned because the school wouldn't provide free condoms. There's your problem right there.

Obviously the real profesionals at the school feel that it's not a problem with the little sophomores keeping their knees together, it's those distressing outward signs of the fact that they are not able to do so. News reports of course made mention of the fact that the community is made up of traditional Italian and Portuguese families and that the economy is in poor shape. We know waht that means. It's code speak for saying that the poor sods are not as enlightened as their betters in the big city where they know how to deal with teen sex.

Windy, it's not like Texas where they, for better or worse, are concerned about underage sex. In Massachusetts the problem will be viewed only through the prism of how they managed to become pregnant and how they were unable to take advantage of a state-supplied surgical procedure to remove the evidence of their round heels. The problem is certainly not sophomore girls having sex.

My grandmother became pregnant with my father when she was 15. My grandfather was 22 at the time. Of course this was back in 1931. They didn't call it "underage sex" or "teenage pregnancy" back then. They called it "having a family."

I hope the fathers are pursued for child support payments as well - if not by the families, then by the local authorities who will likely be on the hook for welfare payments.

Ouch!

This woman is not surprised by all this and, amazingly, seems to know something about how young people think these days.

Sounds like there may not have been any such "pregnancy pact" after all. When asked how he initially heard of it, the principal's memory "failed."

Oh, well. Always lifts my spirits to hear about sweet young things gettin' 'er done... One report had it that some homeless guy was "used" to sire the children! Ditch the family and house, and just let yourself be used...

Mommy, why is my middle name "Hobocock"?

"Shh, son...it's a fine old Penobscot Indian word meaning 'many moons of welfare'".
