There is indeed something vaguely disgusting about the ad. I'm wondering how it would have played on, say, the 8th of December 1941. I'm also wondering how those, with whom it resonates, would recognise an event similar to that of the 7th of December having any effect or meaning to themselves. It does somehow remind me of those brave anti-war protesters of the 1960's who immediately stopped marching in protest of the war the day the draft ended. One can only marvel that soldiers do not feel compelled to spit on civilians. But then they are familiar with the requirements of honor are they not? MoveOn.org knows no such word nor concept.

He has though Mitch, made it clear he doesn't condone the as yet to be run GOP leaning 527 ads. Going so far as to say they are racist, without even having seen one. And back when he was pledging and vowing to use federal funding, one of his reasons, was to try to limit the use of 527 groups. As is becoming increasingly apparent though, he has no problem with things he doesn't approve of, as long as it's beneficial to him.
And no, I'm not holding McCain up as some kind of paragon, even in comparison to Obama. They are both pandering flip-floppers, whose only interest in "serving", is in serving themselves.
