A little story about jrd22

I had the pleasure (again) to spend a evening with jrd22's father at one of our boat clubs events here in New York.

Jrd22 just splashed a new to him Brewer 40 pilothouse, witch he has been working on day and nite. His father traveled to Washington state to witness the launch.

The incredible thing about this story is jrd22's father is 87 years old and a living inspiration to all of us at our boat club. He still single hands his 32 Contest and he is out sailing on any given day.

As I was listening jrd22's father tell me about all the details, all I could see the twinkle in his eye when talking about his son.

jdr22, Your father is so proud of you. Well done, my Friend, So very well done!

Congratulations to John. It seems you have no secrets from us! But then it also seems that you have no need of secrets and much to be proud of. Thanks also to bubb for helping the rest of us to not feel so old and creaky. One cannot rightly complain about one's minor ailments in the presence of 87 years of experience, can one?
