Is freedom worth ANY price?

A resounding yes is offered by one of the recently liberated hostages in Columbia. And what her ordeal and example mean to the rest of us as offered by a French philosopher.

Sway, It is not what Freedom costs or the price that is the question, rather the value of Freedom. I was over sea's many years ago (April, 75) I was witness to a destruction of a society . I saw mothers give (push, throw, shove) infants and children to us service men and run away. We got as many as we could out.

Think of the value those mothers put on Freedom. They didn't have a dime! They wanted Freedom more for there kids than themselves!

continuing, I have seen Freedom from both sides of the fence. It was said 200 years ago and can't be said better today, Give me Freedom or give me death!

Damn straight, bubb. You know why Braveheart, for all of it's historical inaccuracies, is so popular in America? It's because it's a story that resonates so well with the American soul. Freeeedom!!!
