America lost a good soul this morning with the passing of Tony Snow. What a fine family man, a patriot, an excellent journalist, and joyful and optimistic spirit is gone from us today. RIP...you shall be missed.

It was impossible to not like the man. Fellow journalists, the political opposition, as well as readers. listeners, and viewers alike all were willingly charmed by Tony Snow. He even made Helen Thomas smile. Tony Snow was the exemplar of the standard that holds to being first a good and loving man and second be a consumate professional. He blended the two so effortlessly, no matter how deep the differences, Tony never lost his sense of humour.
A devoted family man leaves a wife and three children too soon at age fifty-three. May they be in our thoughts and prayers. And do not fret too long for Tony, he's already having a laugh with God. And in a week, God will wonder how he got along without him, just like we used to. RIP

It was because of Tony that I became hooked on Fox News Sunday. It hasn't been the same without him.
I was glad he was on the radio for awhile before he went to the White House.
I'll miss him.
But then I like Paul Harvey too.
No accounting for taste.
Argh... A good man indeed. If you've ever been around terminally ill people for a long period of time, you'll recognize Tony Snow. He knew he was going to die. He also had great big xxx balls which gave him the courage to be a genuinely kind man.
Fox News Channel did a bang up eulogy for Tony last night with O"Reilly and Van Susteren's shows devoted to nothing else, a live broadcast. Greta's show hit it out of the park with live calls from former President Bush, Newt Gingrich, Rush Limbaugh, Don Scheiffer, and Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull fame. Betcha didn't know that Tony had played the flute on stage with Ian Anderson! Neither did I. While all mourned his loss they could also not ignore Tony's own words on death. While he wasn't ready to go just yet he knew that it only meant that, as a Christian, he'd graduated.
It's hard to imagine a more well respected and well liked man. As he lay dieing he asked with concern about Helen Thomas (the ascerbic elderly correspondant for McClatchey News Service) who herself in not in good health. The preceeding two sentences are not unrelated.
