Gary1 is on a distinguished road
Way off topic

Thanks to someone here, I finally got off my lazy duff and did something about the fact my old web site had become obsolete, because the folks at geocities/yahoo decided to cut off my access to it. I guess I offended their tender sensibilities or something.

I've started setting up a new site with basically the same content, but without quite so many rants.

The new free web host's sites aren't as flexible as the original, so I'm not sure I'll ever be able to make it as nice as the geocities cite, but the price is right, and that's a good thing right now.

It's not a place for left-wingers. It's certainly not out to win an award for being politically correct.

But right or left wing, one page is worth visiting for everyone. Take a minute or two to drop in at The Wall.

Don't beat me up too much on the site. I'm still working on it.

Here it is, if I can get it right...

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Politically speaking the only thing to the right on saildog is the right to bear arms.
I believe in the right to bear anything I damn well choose.

Nice page Gary.

Hi Gary... nice page.

We just opened an exhibit that is exclusively Vietnam photos with captions from the soldiers who took the photos... very interesting to hear their perspective on what is happening in these photos. I've seen a lot of war photo's here at the museum but this collection of photo's are very different/interesting. The exhibit is entitled "A Thousand Words" and was put together by a Vietnam veteran. You may not be able to come and see the exhibit in person but there is a description and podcast from the veteran who put this together HERE. Hope you find it interesting.

All the best,
J

*EDIT* Actually, this is a national touring exhibit so it may come to a city or town close to you. I'm not sure where it's headed next but i could find out if you're interested.
