I've only just found out that one of New Jersey's finest, Danny Federici, keyboardist with the E Street Band died earlier this year. That's sad. To my mind his work on The Wild the Innocent and the E Street Shuffle was quite superb. First Springsteen album I ever heard and still one of my favourites. David Sancious' piano , brilliant.

Not to mention that Madam Marie went to meet her maker as well.

I'm getting old I fear.

Not that the Wombat cares, but Maurice Gibb of the BeeGees died a few years ago. If you're into hardcore, gayer-than-gay disco -- as I am -- this was a tremendous loss.

Rock and roll will never die! Disco, like it's lime green leisure suits, is yesterday's news.
