Dirty Politics???

I just saw an ad in Yahoo Finance. It said, "Is McCain too old to become President?" The Yes was big and Black, the no white.

WHATEVER!!! Is that dirty politics? WHo would be interested in, and more importantly, who would pay for an ad like that? Obviously it was simply to bring to light McCain's age and discredit him.

No doubt each party has its little dirty tricks, but wouldn't it just be nice to say, "Hey... this is what I believe in... this is how I will vote... etc."

Dirty Politics?

Just look at what kind of magazines line the check-out stands at the stores, and what's popular on TV. What else can you expect?

I thought about running for President, then realized I would have to give up my high profile, high paying job here. Now why would I walk away from all this???

Then Cam would run the show and there would be no balance of intelligent thought. A new forum would open about camping traliers, class a versus class c, and the best temperature for Prune Juice at high altitudes.

Just cannot have that on my conscious.

SO here I am to stay. Sailaway will be soo happy.

HEHE!

I had a history teacher in high school who ran for president on the Socialist labor party ticket. One of the smartest men I ever met and a wonderful teacher.

Is this where I get to call someone a Commie Rat Bas****? Haven't done that in years. Glad he didn't make it. Hope he died of gout.

As to the election, it's just another year where you don't get to vote for who you want to win, but who you DON'T want to win. Sigh.

Sometimes I'm glad I'm old and won't have to put up with this nonsense much longer.

As you all now I am just slightly to the left of Sway in my own views...but lately my mailbox has been filling with a lot of very hateful lies and blatant distortions about Obama. There is a real racist undercurrent to a lot of these and they are passed around the internet and forwarded as if they are the absolute truth by folks who should know better or just do a 60 second check.
I personally stop every one I see and send a scathing note to whoever sent it on to me with proof of the falsehood. I'm sure McCain is getting a similar treatment from others not on my e-mail circuit. Whatever...I think it is appalling and un-American and has no place in civil discourse and I urge you all do you your individual parts to stop it.
We can hate them both for their stands on the issues of the day and their real character flaws.

It's not good to hate anybody.
Hatred... is murder in spirit.
Hate what they stand for,
But don't hate the person.
Which is basically what I think you were trying to say here.

If Paris really did run for President,
She would definitely have my vote!!

Pink is beautiful and Blondes have more fun!!!

It happens every election. I remember years ago when the New York Times ran a picture of Reagan on the front page with a small caption underneath. In the Columns next to the picture was an article about aging. The big bold headline was "The Elderly and Alzheimer's" Just coincidence, I am sure.
