TB, are you out there?

TB,
Just wondering if you're boat hunting and if so how is it going?

RickQuann is on a distinguished road
I've wondered about TB's absence also. Is that why he hasn't been online, boat hunting?

I hope he is living it up and invested the money from the sale of his boat, wisely.

He sold his Nauticat and was planning to hunt for another boat, that is if the boss hasn't done some major home improvements with the proceeds..

Hey guys,

You're all basically correct in your assumptions. I have been casually boat-hunting ever since selling the Nauticat - and yes Freesail, the profits were invested wisely , actually earning money, despite this dreadful economy.

Daughters' wedding was of course a financial hit, but a HUGE success - truly a great day for everyone. We're both very proud of them.

There's been a gradual drop in design business for the past few months, due to some uncertainty with prospective clients. Being conservative, and until things pick up a bit, we've decided to not incur any big debts over depreciating assets.

We have been getting out on and under the water every weekend, in a variety of ways, but - I do miss my old boat. The new owner has become a friend and loves his boat - as I did. We talk often about her, which doesn't help in reducing my withdrawal symptoms.

I'll be back regularly on SN when we get another sailboat. The wife is actually warming up to the idea of a smaller, stable sailboat, such as a Marshall 22 Catboat. We're looking forward to the Newport Boat Show next month, where Marshall will have an exhibit. If this becomes a transitional vessel, who knows where we will end up?

TB, I am glad to hear things are well. There is a Cat boat fleet that races Tuesday nights out of Pleasant Street Wharf; I am sure those owners can provide you information on the boats. Let me know what day you are going to the show; Mechele and I ususally attend one day and we can meet up. Take care.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Hey Tom - I talked to him just a little bit back. He said he is trying to save up his cash to buy a Catalina 400. He wants something sporty, elegant, extraordinary, and good looking. I had bad news for him... that was me, not the boat... and I am not for sale. I just make the boats look good.

Ahhhh.... another on the CD fan club. He told me not to mention any of this, so you guys keep it quiet.
