Just my thoughts

In reading some of the post of late I have noticed some members might think that Sailnet is something other then a free forum. They seam to think that it is run incorrectly and then have at it with the moderators. None of this makes any sense to me, am I missing something?

Here is what I know. When I signed up for Sailnet there were rules I had to accept. One rule is Sailnet is a privet forum and Sailnet reserves the right to make changes as they see fit. Sailnet accepts anyone who wants to join no matter what your sailing experience is.

Now to me the fact that Sailnet is a free site is like going to some ones home. You be polite and gracious and abide by their rules, don't go badgering them or complaining to them about the rules. The moderators here are very fair and good at their non paid job They are knowledgeable contributors and a lot of fun.

If Sailnet does something you don't agree with by all means voice your opinion they will listen and be fair about it. But their decision is final. It's their site. Get your own if you want.

Just my thoughts, you can ignore it if you want but thats 5 other threads.

Denby-

Unfortunately, there are always going to be some trolls and idiots that don't think the rules apply to them. The mods do an excellent job and deserve better treatment than that... except for CD... but he is punished enough by sailing a catalina.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Denby & SD,
Gotta agree with you 100%. Well put, especially the part about CD, you have to feel for the man.

Right on, Denby!

CD's impotence is limitless and, rather than derision, the man deserves our sympathy. The decline of that tortured soul will be considered complete upon the opening of a waterfront IHOP and the resultant need for the purchase of a MacGregor. It's just hell trying to get blueberry blintzes if you cannot arrive before ten a.m. Sunday mornings.

I think they should ban anyone who makes one of those scurrilous attacks on Catalinas. Until then "ya"ll can just bite me!"

I laughed reading that, glad I read it now and not when I would be drinking coffee in the morning.
