Airshow Weekend

What a great weekend!!!!!!!
Captain Rizzo and his wife Eileen joined us.
Started with some great camardiere with the members of the Poor Man's Yacht Club of Monroe Harbor on Friday night. Welcome to the Poor Man's Yacht Club, Monroe Harbor

Followed that with a day at the Chicago Air and Water Show.
Than an 85 nautical mile sail back to Michigan; Beam to Broad Reaching one leg no tacking the whole way home. We averaged 6knots till the winds died two hours from our destination.

A great time was had by all.
Here are some photos of the Airshow provided by Captain Rizzo.
As you can see, we had a front row seat.

Stealth Bommer1

Stealth Bommer2

I don't know what it is, but it sure is cool
(Maybe some of the experts can help identify this aircraft)

The Blue Angles1

The Blue Angles2

Blue Angles High Pass

Would you consider this to be a congested anchorage?

Thanks for the photo's Chris.
We all had a great time, but why did you make poor Stacy seasick?

Nice work on the post Tim! We had a great time at the show and hanging with PMYCers. It was Eileen's first crossing of Lake Michigan and it was a memorable one with favorable winds and following seas! You and Julie are the best! You get props for hospitality and seamanship!

The aircraft in the top 2 pictures is a B2 stealth bomber. It has a radar cross section approximately the same as a bumblebee. Did you notice that when the aircraft is coming straight at you, it becomes an almost invisible line in the sky? Very sneaky stuff.

I think Tim is asking about the picture below the stealth, the one that looks kinda like an F-15.

Those B2 Stealth bomber photos don't even look real... the bomber looks like it was photoshopped into the picture.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I believe that one is a Navy f-18, but it's kinda hard to tell. Compare it to the pictures of the Blue Angels, and it looks like the same plane.
