Things I Bought With Coupons

As you may know, the Fight Club thread has been revived, much to the chagrin of many SailNet members who feel that one should not extract enjoyment or fulfillment from sailing unless the conditions are perfect and 100% safety is guaranteed for the vessel, its crew, and all marine creatures big and small. Also, you shouldn't enjoy alcohol or abnormal levels of caffeine or tobacco during a sailing trip, but we'll leave that for another thread. Don't even speak of using a mobile phone while underway. Anyhoo, this thread is for those sailors who feel that the Fight Club thread is an abomination and its contributors (except those that contribute posts decrying the Fight Club thread) are irresponsible troglodytes. Instead of bragging about something brave and daring that you've done, use this thread to inform the more civilized masses among us about your adventures doing something that could not be safer or more useful: saving money on goods and services by presenting a coupon. Show us all how parsimonious you can be! Got any coupon-clipping tips and secrets? Share 'em! Did you get the low-down on a store that doubles coupons? Let us all know! Let's improve society!

OK, I'll start it off. This weekend, I clipped a coupon in the local "circular" and used it to buy: Butterscotch candies. I saved 35 cents! OK, who's next?

I got a .50 off Metemucil!! And to top that, I also had a whole $1 off Centrum Silver. Beat that suckers!

PS, I paid the total due with small pocket change....one coin at a time (don't want to lose count do we).

Every time I spend $250 at West, I get a coupon for $10! And sometimes I even use the coupon before it expires! I could grow rich this way.

Sapper, I hope none of those coins were "accidentally" Canadian. If so, that's irresponsible and puts you in Fight Club territory. If you write a notorized letter to the vendor, then you may continue posting in this thread.

I bought white elephants, two for a quarter. The price was so good I didn't care that I had no need for white elephants and had to borrow the quarter.

Anyone know what an elephants eats, mine are getting skinny.

I got a great deal on Prune Juice and All-Bran at Costco! They have really good prices when you buy a pallet load.

I got a two for one deal in Amsterdam late one night, with a coupon of sorts.

Pain, did you know your smiley face avatar "Bob" or rather his company is being sued for stiffing customers
Enzyte, it seems, is just another trash TV gimmick

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
