Somthing on the lighter side

BEIJING - A news story describing a successful launch of China's long-awaited space mission and including detailed dialogue between astronauts launched on the Internet Thursday, hours before the rocket had even left the ground.

I suppose you're saying that China should just call in all our current debt!! Well that just shows what you know about global economics and the theory of relativity!

Here is another recent gafaw (it was also a subject of the Daily Show last night) - best part is just how confident Biden sounded in the clip:

During his recent CBS interview with Katie Couric, Joe Biden went on the offensive against the Bush Administration for their response to the crisis on Wall Street.

Biden “When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, ‘look, here's what happened.’”

Two problems: (i) the stock market crash was in 1929, so Roosevelt wasn't President; and (ii) in 1929, only scientists had TVs!

Full disclosure: I'm not a politician and I don't approve of this message.

I have a sneaky suspicion of the same thing happening on Giulietta. Alex was also in China not to long ago. No doubt the Chinese read his stuff on sailnet and saw his videos. They knew a good Merda-Master when they saw it. They hired him - only to be fooled at the end. Poor guys. No wonder Alex is hiding in Wyoming.

I smell something rotten.

I treat Chinese news stories with the same regard I do stories of CD's boat leaving the dock.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
