I want to dedicate this thread to a very special lady who I never met yet grew to love.





(CNN) -- Paul Newman, the legendary actor whose steely blue eyes, good-humored charm and advocacy of worthy causes made him one of the most renowned figures in American arts, has died of cancer at his home in Westport, Connecticut. He was 83.

For Courtney...

When in January 1st, I went to the North of Portugal with my family, I went with my wife to this church, to put a candle in your behalf.

It is the Sanctuary of Saint Benedict of the Open Door (São Bento da Porta Aberta). It is a know Sanctuary for followers with diseases, such as cancer and tumors.

The moment I told my wife we needed to go inside for you..this happened…I don’t have the beginning, but got most of it…

Somehow, God in his own way…thought you’d be better off with him….sorry it didn't work...sorry.

Thanks Knotty...This seemed like a good place to post this.

Courtney has made her final sail....we have made our first...and in doing so we dedicated that day in her honer...I asked my girls to come up with pictures or videos that would capture that feeling...one of them took this.

Unfortunately, we can not understand why some things happen. Why do some of the best people leave us so early? We will never know. On September 11, 2001, a good friend of mine told me why she thought Gee had died three months earlier... she said that "God needed someone to train all the new angels." Made sense to me. I wouldn't be surprised if he needs Courtney for something similar.

I know that Gee is still with me every time I go out on the boat named in her memory. I don't doubt that Courtney is out there watching over Mike as well.
