Unfortunately, we can not understand why some things happen. Why do some of the best people leave us so early? We will never know. On September 11, 2001, a good friend of mine told me why she thought Gee had died three months earlier... she said that "God needed someone to train all the new angels." Made sense to me. I wouldn't be surprised if he needs Courtney for something similar.
I know that Gee is still with me every time I go out on the boat named in her memory. I don't doubt that Courtney is out there watching over Mike as well.
