"hate,intolerance"
see "Rev. Hagee"
According to Wikipedia, he really doesnt like Nazism, Catholicism, Islam, homosexuality, Jews, and if memory serves, Hurricane Katrina was a result of there being gay people.
John Hagee - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Now, didnt John McCain embrace him (and his money) unlike Obama who repudiated his pastor when he found out what he had said?

"OK OK OK
I forgot. Dems BAD. Repubs GOOD. "

I'm so sorry you just can't do the apples to apples thing.
I expected better. To return with that oh so clever retort just shows that no matter how the facts are presented, they are unacceptable. To you. I'm sorry.
Perhaps I should expect a "nyah, nyah, my brother can whup your brother" statement next?

The leaders left.
The voters are sitting on their apathy.
There are few informed voters as 1) it really hard to get straight info and 2) eveyone's too busy watching...So you think you can dance..or got talent...or Lost...etc.
There isn't a media source anymore and I wonder if there ever really was. I think once the media realized they could 'hide' a Presidential hopeful's handicap (polio) it was all over. No, I don't mean to suggest that someone with PC 'a physical challange' shouldn't be President. I'm just pointing out something from one of those history programs I like to watch.

I hope Sara wins.

Then maybe more of our human refuse will move to Canada.

I watched the CBS interview. She was handled gently, and her gaffs were her own.

I suspect that tonights debate will prove or disprove whether or not she's a Bimbo.

I don't think she is a bimbo... just way out of her league.

You noticed that did you? Seems everybody else in the media has overlooked that not so minor detail. Of course, we know that running for the governorship of Alaska is not akin to running for the governorship of a real state don't we?

A more dim, mendacious, conniving, compromised slate of candidates would be hard to imagine. Current events are making me think "Well, Nixon had some good points...he wouldn't have stooped to this..."

Which is akin to remembering Hitler for constructing the Autobahn and liking dogs and watercolours, really.
Val,
"A more dim, mendacious, conniving, compromised" electorate might be the reason you see the slate of candidates you do. We get the government we deserve. We both live in democracies. Democracies we have the power to change. That we choose not to do so means we are either satisfied with what we have or are just too damn lazy to change it. I see little other conclusion to be made.
