Sarah Palin

Now Im from Canada and we sure have had our share of stupid politcians but Im dumbfounded about how stupid this woman appears and has the potential to be the next President of the USA...

Is it that he is stuck with her now because most people in the US seem to share the same opinion. I guess you cant really kick her to the curb in the middle of an election

Well he COULD kick her to the curb if he wanted. Eagleton was dumped by McGovern back in 72. The Republican National Committee would then have to ratify a new choice. But it would be a real killer of a thing to do because they would have to

- admit they made a mistake (and they HATE to do that)
- piss off all the religious types who think she is great
- lose a whole week of the campaign to what is essentially a distraction when they name a new vp

I bet they soldier on and keep her. I am hoping there is some real entertainment value in the debate tomorrow but more likely is canned memorized answers from Palin and Biden's usual love of his own voice.

Im starting to get anxiety whenever she is about to speak...some of her comments are priceless...your right.... should prove for some great entertainment, just that it may be at the expense of her running mate..whenever I see McCain he has this look of "my God what have I done"

I'll be voting against Obama this fall. I thought the Palin choice initially energized the Republican Party. In her subsequent interviews, I think she suffered because she wouldn't say "I don't know" and gave some B.S. answers instead.

As to how much her choice affects the election, I'm going to have to wait until after the debate tomorrow for a final judgment.

It would be nice if you could vote for a particular woman to be in Penthouse. The White House, as I understand it, is a different deal.

You're from Canada and you're commenting on our supposedly dumb politicians? I think this might be an area where you'll find there is no need for imports, the home grown market being amply supplied.

I do applaud your insight though. I myself am hardly able to form much of an opinion based upon only two interviews. Perhaps the debate will reveal more for those of us less insightful.

Sway, she supports our great democratic friends, the duly elected Hamas ...

Face it, the woman's playing Scrabble with five tiles, and two of them are Qs.

Palin is struggling to get up to speed on matters far removed from the governance of Alaska. The point of interest should be as to whether the woman is intelligent and educable and not how she does in the game of gotcha as played by the likes of Katie Couric. We can get all wrapped up in this, as the cognoscenti in NY and DC are wont to do, or realize that the average American knows not the difference between Hamas and Fatah nor that either are Palestinian.

We're hopefully electing someone who has the right instincts for executive office and not necessarily an encyclopedic knowledge of geography and culture. If we were not, or thought it of primary importance, Joe Biden might be heading the Democrat ticket instead of the neophyte.

I'll wait until at least the debate to from a more complete opinion. Not that it matters much; anyone who votes for the presidency based upon the veep candidate strikes me as a bit screw loose.

Odd, how after only one month, we know far more about Palin, then we do about Obama. While her slightest move has been scrutinized to the smallest detail, something as significant as Obama's connections to various and sundry shady characters and organizations are blissfully ignored. In particular, in this time of financial turmoil, his days as a communtiy organizer go unremarked. His work with ACORN and other activities to push for "affordable housing", tactfully ignored.

But meanwhile, back at Palin. If she's so stupid, why are they trying so hard to tear her down? If you believe the media frenzy is because she could be only a heartbeat away from being President, then we need to look at who is and isn't stupid.
