Where did the Financial Problems all really Start?

Good question... this video says it started in 1913 with the banking interests.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Really, this is a multiple-choice answer, starting with Renaissance banking and paper money, I suppose. The good and obvious and necessary things about proxy money have, however, proven to be irresistible to capitalist who couldn't leave the metaphor alone. The derivatives market is a particularly egregious "shadow of an image projected onto fog"; and yet it represents astronomical sums that are in essence completely illusory.

But plenty of people got paid fees going in both directions to make those shadows appear like life itself.

Actually, paper money, backed by hard specie wasn't really a problem—since it was convertible to hard specie on-demand.

I have always thought that at the least, being double taxed is wrong. To pay on what you earn, and to pay on what you spend. But, regardless of a law or no law, where is the money coming from for things like public school? Maybe thats a bad example because they suck. But you can't get something for nothing. Ah, theres the answer in episode 2. Property tax, gas tax, etc.

Well, according to the video, income tax, at least in the USA isn't mandated by any law—it says that it is voluntary. Do you want to be our guinea pig on testing that theory???

On the sixth day god created man, on the seventh he rested. So this all started on late on the sixth day would be my guess.

Yeah, I'm gonna pass on that one. Even if it wasn't made into law back then, it would be by now anyway.

double taxation is a bogus problem. What really matters is the TOTAL RATE of taxation.

If you doubt it ask yourself this - Would you rather pay double tax of 1% each or a single tax of 10%

nuff said.
