Presidential debates

Just finished watching the debates. What a disappointment with the so called gallery, they acted like these people were really asking the questions; you could tell that every one of them had just got the question on a flash card. If the person had written it they would not be stuttering all over it like they never saw it. That took time away from the debate. Still uncommited.

It was not all that informative either and seemed the actual highlights were the many times where the moderator was haggling them on the amount of time. Sigh...

What information might you be waiting upon having to make your choice? Please be specific. Thank you.

Personally, I was getting really irritated with Obama because he consistently DIDN'T answer the question, and it seemed that he realized he had forgotten what the question was several times and really got confused. To be fair, McCain didn't answer one either, but he made up for it with straight answers to most of them, and I thought he came across as a seasoned leader.

That is exactly what I thought of it too; I can't believe the spin that is coming out of the liberal media who is saying Obama won because he was more "cool and collected". I want an entheusiastic, experienced, conservative, who really wants to get things done for Americans! I want someone who is optimistic about our future; not afraid of the challenges and blaming the prior administration for our economy (when we KNOW it was due to Clinton era policies). I don't want a passive dittohead that will be run by his party like a puppet on the knee of Biden.

DON'T BE FOOLED BY OBAMA'S SPIN! He's the REAL "Manchurian Candidate"; a puppet leader trying to gain office for the scoundrels who back him!!

Well...you may be surprised to hear this from me but I thought Obama won the debate...AND McCain lost it. McCain really disappointed me last night both in his delivery and with his stupid proposal to add another 300 billion to the "bailout" this time to the idiots who took out mortgages they couldn't afford and now will be bailed out instead of sent back to an apartment or a smaller house. What is that if not a socialist agenda?? He lost a lot of base support with that one and he couldn't even explain it as he was announcing it. To me he came across as OLD and simply fell back time and time again on "trust me" "look at my record" "look at my service" ...all good points but we've heard them. Where was the MEAT...where were the ATTACKS on Obamas character...and his socialism. OOOOPS guess ya can't attack socialism when you're promoting it yourself.
I'm thinking there is NO WAY he will win if this continues....AND...it may be that I need to follow DanJarch's solution to at least send a message since my vote is meaningless.

I agree with Cam 100% as was rather surprised to hear this from McCain.

That 300B "bailout" sounds more like a Democrat proposal...

There is little differance between the parties anymore. What little there is...is my only reason for hope someday..but Im afraid I will not live long enough to see it. I can only instruct my children on how conservatism is supposed to look like ....They havent ever seen it from our government in there lifetime except for a few Judge appointments and stands on abortion and gun rights...All very key and in some regard era turning decisions..but thats about it.

Im starting to feel like Eore in Winnie the poo...Just another grey day in America

I found the debate last night very hard to watch and really boring. The format was awful and McCain gave a very poor showing of himself. I am not happy to say this, but Obama will be the next president of the United States.

McBland and OBwannaBe didn't do the dance for me.

I'm really surprised that the Rep side isn't wailing on Oshama more for his flip flopping, finger pointing, own party malfeasance that brought about this economical mess we are in.

I love making up names as I go...
