A vision of a Obama Presidency

Revolutionary is right. The last great revolution took place in Russia. Within a year of the Russian Revolution in 1917, the communist leader Lenin brought the Russians change they could believe in. He created an economic system in which:

1. All industry was nationalized and strict centralized management was introduced.

2. Obligatory labor duty was imposed onto "non-working classes" or people who had money. Food was rationed and centrally distributed.

3. Military-like control of railroads was introduced.

4. Private enterprise became illegal.

After Stalin took over the Soviet Union, he:

1. Imposed a state-run system of socialized medicine

2. Formed a strict, centralized cultural administration and ideological control system – in other words, reeducation.

There is every reason to believe that some kind of socialist revolution will occur under Obama, Bush has already imposed socialism on the banks, and Obama promises to do more of the same. The Soviets put people with money to work in factories.

Under Obama, the business owners in this country who drive the economy will be put to work by being forced to pay crushing taxes that will fund gold-plated healthcare for illegal aliens and welfare cases. Private enterprise may not actually be made illegal, but so many businesses will die under an Obama administration that the same goal will be accomplished. Instead of trickle-down economics, we’ll have trickle-up poverty.

We already know Obama will impose socialized medicine – that is a given. And reeducation will come in the form of the Fairness Doctrine, which Nancy Pelosi will push through the Congress by stressing the need to foster unity and avoid destabilizing the markets with hurtful and unbalanced commentary. This is what the future holds under President Obama
Interesting vision

After G W Bush took over the USA

After G W Bush took over the USA he
1. Nationalized all of the banks and fianacial institutions
2. Borrowed trillions of dollars from Russia and China giving them an amazing amout of control over our country
3. Centralized control of our banking system to Washington
4. Created a NSA that evesdrops on private conversations of US citizens abroad including the sexual conversations of GI husbands and wives in direct violation of act 18
5. Violated the Geneva accords by torturing prisoners

And there are some people who think the best way to deal with this is to elect John McCain who has aligned himself lock step with the Bush 43 adminstration

The definition of insanity is do the same thing over again and expecting a different result

I've heard the talking points already, most, not all, but most are BS

The point is we are headed towards socialism no matter who's measuring for new curtains.

I just don't feel the need to run towards it

Tell me, do you honestly believe you'll get a different result, after all, McCain is a Liberal (RINO) and Obama is a socalist, about the only difference I see is Obama has been publicly outted so we'll know going in what to expect

Points 1-5 above are either pure BS or gross overstatements with complicity by dems!

After his powers as the Commander in Chief the presidency is a relatively weak institution. That is not to say that the Bush presidency has not tipped to scales back towards a strength of office unseen since before Watergate. But the real power lays with the Congress. Disaster will emanate from the Congress, if at all.

One might bear in mind that the nation found it necessary to experience the cathartic effects of the Carter presidency before it could elect Ronald Reagan. The American people may on occasion be foolish but it is not a terminal condition. Lincoln said that, "you may fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time".

Let us also remember that President Bush was largely a popular president for much of his eight years. One can expect a President Obama to commence his term with a less than astounding approval rating. And it's not easy to revolutionize the government and the society that the original revolution wrought.

LOL.
Watch the stock market graphs and figure out where your retirement is going to be: Nicaragua or, if you are lucky, Argentina except that their currency is worth way more than ours of late.
I have been to Beunos Aires and it is a beautiful place if a little scary, but I see the same things happening here that I saw there in 1999. Why are you guys so afraid of a little socialism doled out by your favorite Republican party? They will still leave you with most of your earnings after all (no worse than Europe or the UK).
I just hate the dumb shyte branding that goes on before an election. You marketing types ought to be taken out back and forced to re-invent yourselves or abetted in cutting your own throats.
In many ways I am glad I am not rich as I have not lost as much as the rest of you. Who do you blame? Why does it matter who caused it? Both parties were on watch while the build up came. Who had most of the control? D'oh!
I guess I will be workin' till I die.
Thank someone "W" did not manage to privatize Social Security - that's my rice, beans and cheap beer money!
Yes, I am a patriot as I am still here. If I was a turncoat or traitor I would have found a way to move all my assets to some nice offshore haven before hand.
Blow autumn winds, blow. Blow these a-holes out of office; and I do mean all of them even though I am way left of most of you 35' + guys.
I also am not a racist and I have no problem with Obama being president of the USA even if his fooking middle name is Hussein. He has Joe six-pack Biden by his side to keep him grounded.
Enjoy the election boys.

Pelosi, Reid and now possibly Obama ???, how much of a push do you think it will take.

Keep in mind the events over the last several weeks and more importantly the non events over the last couple yrs.

and the society that the original revolution wrought.
But that society has all but past away

Why do you compare Obama with Lenin? It is not the same league. He reminds me of M.Gorbachev, likable, charismatic, talkative and completely clueless.

We have had creeping socialism for the past 70 years, regardless of which party is in the White House. The major difference under an Obama presidency will be that it is more overt.
