Announcement: Midwest Chapter AFOC meeting

The Midwest Chapter of the AFOC will be meeting on
Friday January 30th 2009.
Location will be The Billy Goat Tavern on Navy Pier; Chicago.
Time 6:00PM Central Time.

All Sailnetters are invited to attend.

(I know its early, put we are pulling our boat after next weekend. This helps ease the pain)

Count me in . . . . . . . that is if I’m still employed by then and can afford the plane ticket! I’ve always wanted to see Chicago. January huh . . . . . . . does it get cold in Chicago?

I think she may come as well..If I have my US januray assignment delayed, she will most defenately come also...maybe we go to Disney after for a week or so..

The bad news is that Yes, some years there is some snow on the ground around the end of Jan. beginning of Feb.

The really bad news is that those are the warm years!!!

Don't worry about the cold, It the tides at Navy Pier you have to watch out for!!! If it is a new moon at the end January, you could treading water while enjoying yourself at the Billy Goat.

Great. Sooooooooo khaki shorts, T-shirt, and maybe a light sweater for the evening. Got it.

I'm a little concerned about the billie goat.
