I do not interfere in the manner GodBotherers wish to live there lives. Why then do they constantly insist on interfering in the way I choose to live mine ?
Do not for one moment try and suggest that this is a result of electing a liberal government. I am on record as stating that I am not now nor have I ever been a fan of Kevin Rudd if for no other reason than that he is yet another bloody GodBotherer, same as that arsewipe Howard who came before him. Had Howard's government been re elected we would still be staring this nonsense in the face.
Simply put, censorship is an abomination.
Lest anyone think of leaping on me for this, let me be absolutely plain about ...any form of child pornography or the sexual abuse of children is utterly despicable and the perpetrators should be dealt with but limiting my right to view any material be it sexual, political or otherwise is not on. You do not rid the world of child pornography by censoring the internet. You rid the world of child pornography by attacking the pornographers and those who would view this muck.

Unfortunately, governments seem to think like BugBlatter Beasts... if you can't see it, it doesn't exist... Not true...but when has a government ever let the truth get in their way.

Absolutely.
All that will happen is that paedophile groups will disseminate their vile filth via peer to peer file sharing networks that will inevitably get under the radar of internet filters.
Then, at some time in the future along will come a govenrment who will seek to censor political discussion and the ways and means to do so will be at their disposal.
Meanwhile governments such as this mob in Oz will pat themselves on the back for having eliminated child pornography when they will have done nothing of the kind.
I'd like to call them a pack of morons but sadly I think there is more rat cunning at work here. 
BTW - when I said 'liberal government' it was in comparison to the last lot, to call this pack of wankers liberal is a complete joke.

hmmm.....

Somehow I'm not sure that quite works.... 
Anywho, I do think the gun control is slightly more complicated. While I am in favour of gun control when it comes to people being able to carry in urban areas I acknowledge that the rights and needs of hunters and farmers also come into it. That said, I am not really in favour of the shooting of (particularly) small furry critters. Killing for the fun of it leaves me cold. To my mind it shows a lack of character. Killing to eat is a different argument. There is then the questions of why anyone needs handguns or semi automatic weapons.
Hmmm.....farmers end up armed and us city dwellers not.....oooh erk...why do I find that kind of scarey..... 
ps - The Herald Sun is not exactly the finest newspaper printed in Australia so that story could in fact be a complete furphy. As yet it has not appeared on the web sites of the ABC, Sydney Morning Herald or The Australian.
