my predictions for the future, whats yours

with in the next 90 days all traditional energy stocks will tank, ie oil companies, power companies who use coal, and many health related companies

also oil prices will go up back to around a 100 bucks at least a barrel, due to opec not oweing any favors to obama and they wont be pushed, they might just push first to test him

what are you predictions ?

The change we'll get is simply super-sized Bush, minus Iraq and Afghanistan. More spending, more government. And those "failed" Bush economic policies will make it impossible to give the tax relief he promised.

Beyond that, it's hard to say yet.

I would guess that one of the happiest people this morning is bin Ladin. I expect the violence in Iraq to re-escalate through the end of the year, with all American troops out by Christmas next year. As well as from Afghanistan.

I hope I'm wrong, but I have no reason to think I am.

I predict that for the next four years everything that Obama and the Dem's do that fails will be blamed on Bush and the Republicans.

Which would be idiotic considering the Dem's will control congress and the senate, but will happen anyway.

I predict the second economic stimulus package will be put on hold (dem's had been talking about getting it out this year in a special session). Now that Obama's in they will wait and get more of what they want later - when it will be too late to help most. When it comes out it will be extensions on unemployment, tax exemption on unemployment, infrastructure projects that are essentially pork for the dem's - and too local and far too slow to make a difference to the economy at large. A scattering of other tax credits and such will also be added, but no true difference in what they could have done last August, just less fiscally responsible.

I predict the stock market will tank slightly, and go up in March or April, the recession will be declared to have started last quarter and continue through next fall. By next winter we'll be seeing a quarter of growth - and the Dem's will take credit even though the economist out there will say they did nothing that could have impacted on it yet.
The people don't read the economist so they will think the Dem's have saved america, again.

and none of that will be because of anything done in the legislature.

I predict that the deficit will continue growing at an escalated pace.

I predict that Obama's 'out of Iraq in 18 months' will become combat troops out in about 24, and troops, security troops, and contractors still there at the end of his first term. Reality bites.

I predict Afghanistan will get 2 of the 3 brigades requested, and always be too little, too late.

I predict nothing will come of the Reid desire to cut defense spending by 25%, or Obama's National Defense Force. Silly ideas, unfounded in reality.

Follow the money, works in crime, works in politics.
