It is nice to have an election with a clear winner—no court decisions, no recount issues... Obama won both the electoral college vote—wasn't even close—and the popular vote—also not all that close...
 I don't know if he'll be a good president—but he can't be any worse than W was...

Dawg - it could have been as close as 2000, and the aftermath would be the same as it is today. Rather than cry about it, we'll just start working on 2010.
Chuck - I guess this means they'll stop villifiying Bush and Palin at every opportunity and accusing the GOP of things that never happened.

Thank God the whole thing is over with! While cap't and I didn't vote for him, Obama is our president now. He's made so many grand promises, most of which won't and can't be kept...I worry for all of you who have such high expectations.
I urge everyone to take a "snap shot" of your life today and let's see where we are a year, or 2, or 4, from now. I suspect we are in for tougher than expected times resulting in lots of disappointment for those who expect gov't to solve problems.
