Without hijacking this thread any further, Jim, I'd say that the points you object to in the Republican party platform, as cited here, are not points that the Republicans have "lost it" on. They're long-standing parts of the platform dating back to at least Reagan. It's much easier to look at more current lapses in orthodoxy to explain the failure of Republicans. I'd go on but there is another thread devoted to this specific topic. (g)

well i am doing my part, in the next few weeks i will have finished building 2 ak 47s, an ar 15 and a semi mini uzi, all off the books, all semi auto and all legal.

i wonder if this attempt at a ban is a shut up bill like the last military draft bill, get some many people against it, it dies for years. do this before obama gets into office so he cant push it as potus

"In case you haven't noticed: No left-wing "liberal" has campaigned on gun-control for the last decade or so. That's because they realized gun-control was a political loser for them."

Yes. The Dems abandoned this crusade a decade ago. Thats why I am wondering why you guys are so paranoid. There will ALWAYS be inner city reps who will try to do it for obvious reasons. But neither of the national parties is fighting for gun control and havent for years. This is a fake issue. I dont know why people are excited about it because the Dems know perfectly well that if they go back to pushing gun control they will stop winning elections.

And you know what? They LIKE winning elections.

Actually an MG 34, a real original one that one...from Normadie, (if I am not mistaken)...a real action gun..

1200/min or 20 per second...yep...

Fired at least 1000 rounds with it..destroyed a tractor tire in a few seconds...

A really really good gun...compared to the crappy M-60 I had in my M-48 Patton in the Army, that kept jamming and forced me to swap barrels every other bullet, (overheating)..what a piece of crap it was

Wow!
Who the heck was it filing all those amicus briefs in front of the SC in the Washington, DC case then? And Obama was on the side of the DC, and coincidentally Chicago, governments. You're puttin' lipstick on a pig on this one. Which is OK as long as you don't expect anyone to believe you. (g)

Don't let them do it, Americans.

Here it went further. still. Life was made so difficult for McDonalds, that over-size hamburgers were withdrawn.... I KID YOU NOT. In Elgin, Scotland, it was explained to me. Now, I am a big man, and a "Big Mac" isn't very big here, so the oversize was about right.
Now I just go to Burger King.

Now there is a move to make road-side burger stalls stock salads, and by compulsion. Apparently you won't get your stall license unless you do. This is serious. Again, I kid you not.

IT WILL NOT STOP WITH GUN BANS.

Other examples.... we have a series of anti-terror laws that were supposed to restrict the activities of terrorism. We find out later, that the same powers were being used to snoop on parents trying to get their children into a better school.

A while back, a stupid home secretary (the equivalent of US secretary of state) hinted that the right to remain silent would be disclosed to a jury. He's gone now, for corruption effectively, but it gives you an idea. Apparently the right to remain silent was to have repurcussions.
