Blind Kindness....
This was one of those interesting days. After the great sail on Sat with new crew I am recruiting for racing - feedback I received was very good, and the approach I took on introduction and training was well received. Even better - those that sailed all bring some talent and desire to see my mission and sail the best we can.
Then one of my buds from the N-Pier (Tony from "After Midnight") signed up on my yachts website and volunteered for crewing with us. Awesome - I tell you, because Brian whom I usually rely on is crewing on Marty's boat because of some mis-communication)...
Work went fabulously well and more progress made today than what is normally seen in a week..
Then I drive down to my boat to replace the shore power cable with a spare - because when we pulled in Sat - a reverse polarity light once hooked in.
As I walk up to my boat the pier finger is soaking wet. It had not rained all day. No other piers were wet. My teak is wet as well.... Lo and behold someone had washed my boat (and I checked the other side too)...wow.. Thank you - oh mystery person that washed my boat!
The reverse polarity issue wasn't the shore power cable either - the neutral wire for the system to the breaker was a tad loose...
Wow is all I can say - blind kindness and what a way to end a monday!
You have stories like that to share?
