Holiday Gift Cards Be Careful

Wanted to give everyone a heads up that if you tend to give gift cards around the holidays, you need to be careful that the cards may not be honored after the holidays.

how much of this is due to internet based shopping?
The only stuff I buy at a store is clothes I need to try on, spur of the moment needs and food.
In the marine retail, I only buy from west if it's convienient. Most of my stuff, including all high priced stuff I buy from defender.

I heard about this man that was travelling on business. He met a gorgeous woman in the hotel bar. They get to talking, one thing leads to another, etc etc. He wakes up the next morning in a bath tub full of ice. Next to him on a table is a phone and a note that says "call 911". They took his kidneys for an underground organ black market!!!!

So be careful everybody.

(PS: Don't eat Pop Rocks and drink soda at the same time. It killed Mikey from the Life cereal commercials)

HA! Well unlike the kidney story, there is some truth to the gift card warning.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Hype aside, gift cards held by consumers when a retailer goes bankrupt are treated as un-secured debt by the bankruptcy court; and are essentially lost in the aether.

Cash, the gift that keeps on shrinking...........
