Wraped in pure dread mun
Was laying here (drugged to the nines, fighting the worst cold I've had in years) listening to the latest out of Mumbai, thinking that it's a rehearsal, a rehearsal for DC Jan 09,
Hotels filled to capacity, an estimated 4 million to watch in person, transportation Buses to and from the event if parked bumper to bumper would span 7 miles; pretty much logistically FUBAR ( then I passed out for the last 4 hrs )
I woke up to hear a train in northeast India was hit with a bomb killing several, and injuring dozens more, and I thought........................ oh shite, Hotels Buses and trains oh my.
Man, cold medication kicks a$$, all I need now is Ozzie and a round Ironman blasting to the hilt going back too bed

I heard some think-tank in DC came up with something too... that within the next 10 years or so there's a 50-50 chance of a WMD attack in the US.
Also heard that 79% of all statistics are made up on the spot, and Mark Twain said, "There's lies, damned lies and then there's statistics".
Personally - I don't think it's going to be "within ten years" but much, much sooner and there's greater than a 50% chance of it happening.
Just depends on the training and perseverance of the bad guys - which says something about the Mumbai attacks.
From my trained eye, these guys spent some time planning this attack. According to... ummm... some data... I read.... damn some days I hate this crap, they were "cold, calculating and took their time killing people".
That says LOTS of training.
But, it's all irie, mon, the world is rejoicing the hirin' of the Big O.....
we'll see, won't we mon?

Wonder if they were tanked on Zicam, Theraflu and hot Amaretto
This perfect storm senario ( Thin Military, Weak economy and Transition period ) would sure have me looking under my bed.
I heard this captive terrorist ( who really seems to be talking it up.....which is kinda odd ) mention their goal was the death of 5000, which also got me thinking about the Big O party in January.
Well, I tell ya one tang mon, dere be no amaretto dis night

Nancy Pelosi time then. I bet she's hoping, just hoping. You can just hear her talking in her sleep: "I'm 3rd in line, I'm 3rd in line, I'm 3rd in line, I'm 3rd in line, I'm 3rd in line..."

Bene, I think we need to look further down the food chain, I'm sure Pelosi will be at the party glowing like the High School POA.........it's big day for the dems, without Pelosi it would be like Bacon without eggs, apple pie without the ice cream.......a gay pride parade without Richard Simmons

Richard Simmons is gay? It's a good thing my great aunt doesn't read this.

Ok, I may have gone a little too far..........sorry
back to prime time
What I'm hearing & reading :
A WMD attack in less than 5 yrs, possible suitcase dirty nuke but more likely chemical or Bio; Prime oppurtunity is during transitions ( think spain ) Some even go so far as to say that the US is gloting over the fact that we have had no attack on US soil in 7 yrs.
Not to mention that OBL has recently said that the next event will change the makeup of the world forever.
So, put that all together with 1/20 (((shutter)))

I hear there has been a second attack, this time on a train in India, and the tensions between Pakistan and India are rising dramatically. Since both of them are nuclear powers, I sincerely hope that nothing comes of it.
