A big log on the beach

I inherited grandma and grandpa's slide pictures after they passed away. I went through a bunch the other day and got some of them scanned. This is a picture taken on the Washington coast? back in the 70's. Look at the size of that log. I would hate to hit that out on the water on some dark and stormy night!

Wow..that is an all time Sailnet favorite...what a nice boat....it's defenatley a Valiant or a Hans C....maybe a Cabo Rico?? or another type of old shoe??

Great picture Ray. Remember when we were kids and it seemed like every other truck on the highway was a log truck, and sometimes there were only 2-3 huge logs?

Yes Giu, I'm really impressed with the wood carving towards the stern, especially the one that looks like a dead sea lion. Compared to some of the spade ruddered Clorox bottles with fin keels and torpedos we hear so much about, I think it's very unique, in a classy old school kinda way

But, that's just my opinion

Erps, way cool picture, that's what I remember most about Wash & Org. coast line was the amount of driftwood there was and how nature was able to carve such neat sculptures
