travler,

Good job.

You know you did right through the years, preparing her for an unlikely but real event.

Good job.

You know she did right to defend herself, no matter what the liberals want to take away from you this week.

Good job.

You know it was up to her to defend herself and not consider how her attacher would feel, or his upbringing, or a hundrend other things that "made" him what he was, including the free will he had to be something different than an attacker.

Good job.

Good job in preparing her for the worst,. I'll keep her in my prayers in this traumatic time.

Trav—

I'd say go get her some more 19mm WP, even if you have to order them from Germany. Sounds like your little girl was raised right, and did what she had to protect herself.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Traveler, How I do say this gently! I think you are an ass and full of crap. I did a news search for your home town and the county. There is no type of incident like this being reported. You wish us to believe that a man was killed by a flare gun and it did not make the news. How stupid do you think we are?

If I am wrong please provide proof, and I will apologize.

Hmm...

Well, I will take his word for it. As far as I am concerned he brought his daughter up right, and exactly the same way I brought all my sons and daughters up. Be fair, give warning, shoot straight.

The young lady could have given in like the Left wants her to do - you know, don't fight, let it get over with quickly and move on with life.

Well, they also want to let rapists go, prevent murderers from being executed and they love to abort babies.

Tell me what's wrong with this country and the world...

You don't have to, I already know.

But, Traveler, you mentioned this a few weeks back - and wound up banned. Perhaps, my friend, you ought to talk to some folks that know about this sort of things, and discuss it with Cops who've had to take a life in the line of duty.

I'd also tell you that if you live in an area (there's not many of them) where you can't buy bullets, it's time to pack up and move.

I know I would.

Rick, this is the internet, Believe nothing unless it can be verified.

19mm "handgun" ammunition doesn't exist. "wp" means nothing, in any conventional round. Semiautomatic flaregun ammunition? Come on. Ever heard of a semiautomatic flare gun?

19mm ammunition would be ".76" caliber, a 3/4" cartridge. That's already a shotgun shell or a rifle round--there just aren't any handguns in that size.

Oh, and even 12 gauge flareguns have been tested as "antipersonnel" weapons. The rounds from a handheld flare gun bounce off things--they don't burrow into people. They're damn lousy weapons.

Sorry, too much sounds like drunken ramblings of a fairy tale.

Feel free to clear that all up, "Mark". The model and brand of the flaregun, the specific ammunition type, and location and name of the PD that officer belonged to, would all be easy to supply if this was for real.
