chowder, strange case of missing clams?

Ok.. just have to sound off on this one.. I love Clam chowder.. although I almost never make it from scratch. Potatoes aplenty.. clams? well I'd guess(without really counting) there are about 20 pieces morsels even of clam about an 1/8" square. Does anyone know of a canned soup that actually has clams that you can sink your teeth into? It seems to me the recipe that the Big C uses must be left over from the great depression. great taste = no substance?

Progresso or w/e the progress sounding one witht he blue can has pretty good clam chowder with real clams that taste normal and there are normal amounts but the pieces are still pretty small.

they do sell it in cans but it is not as good, jump in the boat sail to old town alexandra and try the fish markets chowder out. they have one of the best

I like clam chowder well enough but the little buggers always get stuck between my teeth.

IF you want good clam chowder...come up to beantown, and go to the Boston Sail Loft...or any of a thousand other seafood restaurants here...
