Keep your head and ass DOWN. When you hear incoming especially.

Best wishes, good luck, and thanks for your service.

See you when you get back.

Rick

Sorry, think the whole split of war/politics/religion from off topic was a mistake.

Is the next step to split 'learning to sail' into learning to sail on a dinghy, learning to sail on a keel boat, learning to sail on a centerboard boat, learning to sail on a dinghy from a friend, learning to sail on a dinghy from a school, then we should split it into learning to sail on a white dinghy (just a guess but I'd say that would be the most popular) learning to sail on a blue dinghy, (ad infinitum), learning to sail by just grabbing the sheet and going.

Wait a minute, that just might force jib sheet and main sheet subforums for all of the above! would really tend to obfuscate the whole sailnet site.

there are so many subforums here that could benefit from further splitting that I'm really surprised you are concentrating on the off-topic area.

if you don't like a post don't read it.

Ken.

Hey, just want to say that regardless of what you think, I pray for the best for you personally over there.

I would happily stand beside you but Uncle Sam in his infinate wisdom thinks I'm too old, so instead I'll offer a cup of coffee, or a beer. Just pm me wherever you are and it's yours. (as long as they accept visa!)

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
