I always mail mine. Simply for the fact that only morons would spend millions on a study that showed the IRS would save tens of millions a year if more people would file electronicly, they would have then have a lot more data about the economy and taxes collected, all while being able to target audits more reliably increasing the odds of catching tax cheats with out bothering law abiding citizens, and getting a better return for they're enforcement dollar. So how do they try to encourage people to file electronicly instead, write a law that requires you to go through a third party, paying a fee of course, and not allow software engineers to write into they're programs a simple and effeicent standard for data tranfers directly to the IRS. Then pay these third parties, who are making plenty just for tranfering the data anyway, to tranfer the data for free if the person is below a certain income.
So screw them, they can pay someone to input less then half of my tax forms into they're database, you shouldn't reward morons, it only encourages them.
