I once got some sage feedback from a dude I respect:

Quote:
"On the contrary, you find something you don't like or that peaks your interest then you seem to go picking at it like an old scab. Then when someone pushes back, you slam away feeling quite justified in your actions because you think your just responding to their push-back. Bottom line it appears you often bring these on yourself."
He was right. And I would offer that that's exactly where we are with this whole issue. It's dead. Bury it or take it to stuff. It doesn't matter here anymore.

(AE - that's what I meant when I said "take it to stuff" - the other site. Everybody's got valid points - but it's a scab at this point around here. Who gives a damn? Let it heal.)

Sorry Cam, but expecting Sailnet to fight our fights for us is lame. If we really wanted to put our money where our mouth was, we'd have started a seperate, independant site, so as not to force our host into a difficult decision.

...and when Smack is the voice of reason, I know I've gone too far, sorry guys...

That was quite the visual. I thought you indemnified porn stars for workplace injuries for 23 years.

"That's dedication", I thought. "An adjuster's adjuster", I thought. "Loose lips sink ships", I thought.

Alright - that's it! Seriously, man, I LOVE a good fight (as you may know) but at some point when "the point of it all" is lying on the canvass, unconscious, with a bloody mess for a face - it's time for the next fight. Right?

In the mean time don't get comfortable. Heh-heh.

AKscooter is on a distinguished road
Hi all,
I am new to your thread. I have appreciated the thoughts and comments of all. As I am "new" to the world of sailing, peoples opinions mean more to me now than the will in the future. (past performance predicts future action) I would have loved that the owner of this thread give equal time to the manufacture in question. Maybe he did or did not. I cannot imagine the logistics of moving a 115foot vessel. I can imagine folks buggering one up while doing so. I would hope that open discussion of events seen and heard can continue. As an owner of my own business, I stand behind my service and product and I will do anything to make things right if that is an option. Within a couple of years I will be in the market for a nice sailing vessel. I peruse these forums to help me dream about which boats and directions to go. I hope this thread and others will continue in the spirit of enlightenment and yes, entertainment. Alex, whoever you are, I hope you get well soon. Scooterboy

welcome to sailnet
the 115 wasn't 115' long, I think it was a 38' boat. Others will have to chime in with an explaination of the mysterious nomenclature.

Alex is away for a few days. I'll say thanks on his behalf. He does seem to be recovering nicely.
