The New $1.00 coin

REFUSE NEW COINS

This simple action will make a strong statement.

Please help do this.. Refuse to accept these when they are handed to you.
I received one from the Post Office as change and I asked for a dollar bill instead.
The lady just smiled and said 'way to go' , so she had read this e -mail.
Please help out...our world is in enough trouble without this too!!!!!

U.S.Government to Release New Dollar Coins

'IN GOD WE TRUST' I S GONE!!!
If ever there was a reason to boycott something, THIS IS IT!!!!

DO NOT ACCEPT THE NEW DOLLAR COINS AS CHANGE

Actually, we in Canada have the $1 coin for a while and I really don't mind them. You get a bunch in your pocket, throw em in a jar and save them up. You don't miss it and when you go to cash in the jat you have several hundred bucks saved. Take your wife out for dinner, buy something for the boat, whatever.

You have been sucked in to a false impression by a mass email.

Take a look at the edge of the coin:

I remember when they came out with the Susan B Anthony $1 coin. bartenders made a fortune. If you were do 2.75 in change. The bartenders used all coin or 1 paper dollar and one dollar coin. and most people would leave all of it as a tip seeing only 1 dollar and some coins.

Valiente,

It is a statement of policy. In God we trust, all others must pay cash.

People, please check out these emails before you spam the world with them. Only takes a few minutes of your time to save the time of all your friends.

Plus, even if this had been true I have to agree with Valiente.

Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's. If your beliefs are not in your heart putting them on your money isn't going to make much difference.

Subject: $1 coin

The e-mail going around advocating boycotting the new $1 coin is partially true. CONGRESS has instructed the U,S, Mint to remove "In God We Trust" from the new coin as soon as possible. This will happen in the 9th minting of the coin in 2009. The first 8 mintings will have the inscription on the EDGE of the coin. The appropriate action if you object to this is 1) write your Congressman and express your displeasure with the action of congress to remove the logo and 2) when you receive the coin in change check for "in God We Trust" on the edge before refusing to accept the coin. If it isn't there request that the coin be replaced with paper or coins with the inscription
