I went in 1960 and planned to make a career of the Army, then in '67-'69 I did two tours in Vietnam. When my time was up in '69, I could see the war was going to wear on for many more years and I would be back in RVN a couple of more times and might not be so lucky the next time, so I pulled the plug.

Thank you to all that have served! You are all HERO's in my book! 15yrs in the Coast Guard, deployments got to my little girl to much, so I opted out for the family life, boy do I miss it!

I retired from the AF in 2001 after 20 years in the AF, half of which I was actually stationed with the Army. Started sailing, well ASA courses only, this past March. Looking for a boat now.

20 years, Army. Retired from missiles and rockets in 1994, then went back to to school for Nursing degree. Now 13 years into nursing and working part time so I can sail, bother my grown kids, enjoy other hobbies. It's been good.
