Sorry Folks

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to apologize for some of the antagonistic things I've said to many of you. In retrospect, even I would have thought that those things were really $hitty to say. But, in defense many of the things I told you were absolute truths but you thought they were not. Such as bang'n my wife in the boat, going out for supper and getting into the fight. Drink'n way too much, gotta admit to that too. My hobby is investing, so maybe I should update my profile.

But some of the direct comments to individuals is way off side, and I shouldn't have done that. If I offended anyone that wasn't my intention, text based communication is such a pain at times.

In any event, I'll start anew and abide by the rules and be a more warm and friendly patron.

That being said, we do want to move up to a long distance cruiser. So I will address our questions according to our needs.

Nicely said, but only your future actions will prove the worth of the words above. Welcome to Sailnet.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Were all for "Fun" here, Believe me, I don't think that was ever the question.
I don't mind a bald joke, that’s ok, I can take it. Lets face it, I'm bald.
I dish it out too, not as good at it as some of the others assess around here, but I like to get my digs in when I can.

The only problem I have, is when somebody new comes out firing both barrels before we ever get a chance to know one another first. At least buy me a glass of wine before you rape me please.

To tell you the truth, a lot of us around here have developed friendships and relationships that go way beyond Internet bulletin boards. Not that we are gay lovers or anything, but true friends. Friends that you can count on when your down, sail with, have dinner with, talk on the phone, yada, yada, yada. It’s actually a pretty cool thing.

For instance, I find TJK attractive, but I don't want to have a physical relationship with the guy. We both have wives and kids, so even if we were gay, we'd have all of these obstacles to overcome. In any case, we're just friends. He's a great guy, and the fact that I don't want to have sex with him doesn't diminish my opinion of him. To be perfectly honest, the idea of messing around with a guy makes my skin crawl. AGain, this isn't a reflection on TJK. I'm just saying that splittin' rails ain't my bag.
