"But out of sight of the family, Sophie Tucker was swimming doggedly and finally made it to St Bees Island, five nautical miles away, and began the sort of life popularised by the TV reality show "Survivor.""

What a great story.

Fell off in ruff seas, I imagine, with plenty of fetch.

Oh, I read this headline and thought this thread was going to be about bashing one of our more prolific writing members. Hmmm.

It is an amazing story. I know the area. Tides range from 6m to 10m with huge currents. The dog swam to one island with people, wouldn't let them catch it, swam a fast flowing channel to the 2nd island and lived off goats.

Now it is reunited, I would keep it well fed!!

Oh please go ahead and bash a prolific writer - which one could survive on goat meat in paradise??

Too kind of add to the previous

I am an agnostic, dyslexic insomniac and naturally I am staying awake all night wondering if there really is a DOG
