On a mission

This has got to be a first...and definitely the most irrelevant sailing post ever. But I'm posting it anyway - 'cause I'm on a mission. So here goes: I'm sailing in the Abacos on a Lagoon 380 the last week of May. My mission (and I have accepted it ) is to find a 5'+ lighted (eg., rope lights) palm tree that uses DC power (or something other than AC as the boat is equipped only with DC). Ok, are y'all done laughing now? Is there someone out there with ideas/suggestions? (I've done a search online and called West Marine and checked other boating sources to no avail.) Thanks in advance.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

How about using an inverter?

Does it really have to be DC-powered? How about using an inexpensive inverter, available at any truck stop?
