Doctor Operates with Electric Drill

Thought this was quite remarkable. I guess we've all heard of weird and wonderful medical procedures but this guy and his assistant sure deserve a pat on the back.

I actually work for a medical device company and sell power equipment including medical drills and saws to hospitals in the US and am there in the OR as they use them. You would be surprised as to how similar your regular household drill is to a $10,000 medical one. Still it is an amazing story and I am glad the doctor was able to realize and act so quickly.

Yeah. I heard an interview with the two doctors involved earlier this morning and they said the same thing. A drills a drill. They wrapped it in sterile plastic, gave the drill bit a good clean and away they went.
