You scare me Mr. President
Here is a letter sent, but not published, to the NY Times by Lou Pritchett formerly a VP for Proctor and Gamble. It has been making the rounds on the Web and reportedly has over a half million hits. Not only does it mirror my thoughts on our new President, but I have said many of the same things during President Obama's short reign. What I don't understand is where are the protests, the marches in the streets, the general uproar about our country being turned upside down?
The author, Lou Pritchett, is a well-known public speaker who retired after a successful 36-year career as the VP World Sales for Proctor and Gamble.
Lou Pritchett
Foremost Leader in Change Management
Lou Pritchett is one of corporate America's true living legends- an acclaimed author, dynamic teacher and one of the world's highest rated speakers. Successful corporate executives everywhere recognize him as the foremost leader in change management. Lou changed the way America does business by creating an audacious concept that came to be known as "partnering." Pritchett rose from soap salesman to Vice-President, Sales and Customer Development for Procter and Gamble and over the course of 36 years, made corporate history.
AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA
Dear President Obama:
You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.
You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.
You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education, your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.
You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.
You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.
You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.
You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others.
You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.
You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America' crowd and deliver this message abroad.
You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.
You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.
You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.
You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.
You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations.
You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.
You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.
You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.
You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.
You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.
You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.
Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.
Lou Pritchett

Mr. Pritchett makes the understandable mistake of assigning his fear solely to President Obama. He has apparently missed the fact that many of the changes that have occurred since the election are the direct result of the Democrat controlled Congress. He might better be scared of Mr. Obama for his inability to control the excesses of his own party. Mr. Obama's own direct actions can be largely ascribed to a willful immaturity that believes in Never-Never Land as an attainable reality.
You get what you vote for. And if you don't vote, you get to eat what is being served.

For a smart person, the guy also seems to be unaware of a lot of things:
Quote:
Barack Obama, through his spokesman, claimed today that he was unaware of the tax day tea parties. Granted, the MSNBC has done a good job in suppressing any sort of coverage ahead of time (and the little coverage they did provide was derisive at best) -- but how out of touch is the Community Organizer in Chief, really?
This much!
- He was unaware that he was attending a church (for 20 years) with a racist pastor who hates America .
- He was unaware that he was family friends with, and started his political career in the living room of, a domestic terrorist.
- He was unaware that he had invested in two speculative companies backed by some of his top donors right after taking office in 2005.
- He was unaware that his own aunt was living in the US illegally.
- He was unaware that his own brother lives on pennies a day in a hut in Kenya .
- He was unaware of the AIG bonuses that he and his administration approved and signed into a bill.
- He was unaware that the man he nominated to be his Secretary of Commerce was under investigation in a bribery scandal.
- He was unaware that the man he nominated to be his Secretary of Health and Human Services was a tax cheat.
- He was unaware that the man he nominated to be his Secretary of the Treasury was a tax cheat.
- He was unaware that the man he nominated to be the U.S. Trade Representative was a tax cheat.
- He was unaware that the woman he nominated to be his Chief Performance Officer was a tax cheat.
- He was unaware that the man he nominated to be #2 at the Environmental Protection Agency was under investigation for mismanaging $25 million in EPA grants.
For the love of God, there are people in comas that are more aware of world affairs than this guy.

Yea, Gilstump! While I agree with you, you are exercising an ad hominem fallacy, specifically the genetic fallacy.
Logically, it is not a rational process that leads us to discrediting these claims based upon who makes them.
However, I agree that the guy is an a hole. Why worry about the government anyway? It's not like we can protest!

Why don't you print letters from the head of GE or the head of GEICO and thousands of other companies - Warren Buffet?
Because, they are advising Obama and would tell you something else.
The scary thing, honestly, is that folks even read this drivel. I try to create my own opinions and writings as opposed to just "dittos" with other junk.
It makes perfect sense that a large part of big money Corporate America are GOP stalwarts - so has it always been. Approx. 50 million people voted against Obama - some of them are probably very good writers.
Now onto his complete drivel....
Notice how he uses 'wind mills' in quotes as if it is something exotic and wrong-headed - and in the same sentence tells us he wants more Bush-type drill-drill-drill.
Well, the Bush thing worked out well for oil, didn't it? The world is headed toward Green energy - yes, those fabulous "winding millers" will be a big part of it. He should read up.
The right is so worked up that it is past humorous. They have had their chance - and they showed us exactly what happens when you let the Enrons and the Cheneys control things. And we didn't like it.
So, if you want my opinion, this guy is completely full of poop and is unhappy that his side lost an election - period. He could care less about Obamas qualifications, because the better Obama is, the less he likes it.
Think for yourselves, people! One thing Sway is right about - if you don't vote, you get what you deserve. Let me add to that. If you just latch onto others opinions and writings and "ditto" on them, then Goebels is probably laughing at you from his grave.
