Vanity Plates

Many sailors are free spirits and prone to express themselves in ways which make a statement. Boat names are always fun with many fine examples from deep meaning to wry humor.

But how about your vehicle license plates. Show us your's. Pictures are much better than text and prove that you actually spent your dime on the idea. Let's see 'em.

I ordered this one yesterday:

Sorry. Vanity plates imply a certain....well....vanity. And everyone knows I'm as humble as pie. I do, however, wear a pretty pimpin' grill.

blt2ski will become famous soon enough
My first vanity plate, I put on a Blue/white convertible Bug I redid, "blu bom" sold bug, went on a blue 86 S10, then to my ex's 89 blue Astro, then to her 2000 white (had blue pnstripes)Safari van, now it is on my sons lae 70's Toyota Celica that they redid in an auto shop, of course it is blue!

I had a plate, "skht 46" on my old Travel trailer.

Handle gives away the plate on my old 88 Chev pickup, which went to a 96 chev pickup, which is now on my 05 Chev pickup!

Here's a couple

Blt3ski, You seem to hold on to plates like a family tradition. BTW, thanks for supporting GM.

OK, time to unveil a couple I'm really proud of.

Please turn your attention to my Harley on the left......gentlemen please....... the Harley. It bears my AARP plate befitting of my present status of employment and age.

And on the right the wife's Harley plate bearing the name of her favorite wolf/dog AKOYA.

I had an '85 Omni GLH, a real road rocket in its time. On the hatch, the 'Omni' label was on the left side, I got a plate that was "-POTENT". In the two years I had the car, only one person actually put the two together and got it. Mostly, I just got "Duh, what does that mean?".
