No, they voted on the Prize way before then. He won because he INTENDED to throw out the first pitch at the All Star Game.

I'm just glad to see that it really IS the thought that counts. I always figured that was crap - but now I can actually win some bling by fakin' it 'til I make it.

Yeah!

PS - I actually kind of like the dude.

The Heisman is actually VERY accurate. Chip "The Poser" Heisman was ALWAYS vogue-ing that stiff-arm on the run - and even the sidelines, locker rooms, bars... The sculptor nailed it.

Welcome to SN Street.

CNN has just reported that Obama has been canonized as Roman Catholic saint. This was done based on the miracles he plans to do.

Oh man, Bubb, that's funny. I especially love the "Made in China (with Your Money)" label. Classic.

And anyway, he's going to have to do a lot of miracles to make up for all the stupid mistakes made by that pesky President Garfield. What a chump that guy was!

BarakO is definitely the man.

President Awarded America's Cup

This just in...

Quote:
Immediately following a rousing speech given yesterday by President Obama at the U.S. Naval Academy's Robert Crown sailing center, the Trustees of the Americas Cup Deed of Gift and defending club Team Alinghi announced in a joint press conference their decision to award The Cup to President Obama.

Team Alinghi and Société Nautique de Genève, along with syndicate owner and skipper Ernesto Bertarelli, cited Mr. Obamas conciliatory posture toward international relations and evident deep appreciation of sailing as the basis for their decision to "send The Cup home." They also made passing reference to the inability of any recent U.S. syndicate to contend seriously for The Cup. Mr. Bertarelli, speaking for his teammates, questioned the sportsmanship of continually "beating a man while he's down." Bertarelli added, "Where is the glory in that?"

In his Naval Academy speech, Mr Obama praised the sport of sailing, in particular its contributions toward international comity, all while making repeated reference to "winds of change" and employing various other sailing metaphors.

Obama, a non-sailor himself, graciously accepted The Cup "on behalf of all American sailors," and immediately announced his selection of the United Auto Workers' Employee Yacht Club as Defender of Record.

John - now that was EPIC funny. You have some mad skillz my man.

Should I add a "Barakies" category to the BFS Cup poll? I feel like I'm behind the curve on this one.
