I have a good buddy who flew for the navy and patrolled the no fly zone during the 90's. From his perspective, the war in Iraq never stopped from the first Bush, it just slowed down.

According to
The 33 named countries in the U.S.-led coalition - Iraq War Veterans Organization

As of October 15, 2004, 28 non-U.S. military forces are
contributing to the ongoing stability operations throughout Iraq.

Multi-National Force - Iraq and Multi-National Corps - Iraq

At this time, 28 non-U.S. military forces are contributing to the ongoing stability operations throughout Iraq. These countries are Albania, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Rep, El Salvador, Estonia, Georgia, Honduras, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, , United Kingdom, and Ukraine...

Now, tell me how many of these countries are living on US taxpayers money or went to war to get a share?

Ok, I have another question, How many of these countries you can find on a map?

I'm pretty sure that Albania is right next to Transylvania, but I don't see either on my globe from the 1970's. Australia is a country? I thought that was a big state like Texas and was part of New Zealand.

LOL.. Touchy subject..
I am a Combat Vet of Viet Nam, 4th inf div 68/69. CIB, Purple Heart and a few others I dont even know what they are for.
I left the field in Viet Nam in a Coma. When I awoke (Lost med file, dont know how long I was in a Coma) I had Total and Complete amniesia (spelling :-( sorry)
I never did get all my memory back and the only part that is Clear, is AFTER I awoke..I had No speech , No recognition of speech Nothing at all. No thinking, Nothing was going on in my brain except Recording what was going on .
It took me over 30 years for This government to acknowlage that I had a problem. And then ONLY after I found a Senator that I had a Personal connection to, Pete Dominicci of New Mexico.. I was having troubles with loseing track of time and passing out.. the VA was dragging their collective feet. Ol Pete got them to look and Finaly admitted I had Epolepsy and Had had it from Viet Nam..I also suffer from Vetry bad PTSD. You cannot got through a year of seeing humanbeings blowen apart and Not have it. I now have a 100% rating and Thanks to Pete for it all.. I am NOT a Flag waver and never will be. This country gives crapp little for You or I and Less for the GI on the front lines..
They Screwed the WWI vets, WWII Vets, Korean Vets, Nam Vets, Desert Storm Vets and now this Feasco..
Ol Pete is Out of office now, and I FEAR every day, they will take a look at Where they can SAVE more money and Take my Dissability away.. I WILL go Postal if they do.. Thats why I Do Not have weapons in my house.
So, is it worth it, Only to those making the MONEY, the REAL Government.

Again, a good reason we have a battle field over seas. This guy went over there looking to get into the fight. One can only believe that when he saw the fight he thought it would be easier to come back here and shoot up a shopping mall. COWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BOSTON, Massachusetts (CNN) -- Investigators have charged a man with conspiring to provide material support to terrorists and other crimes, the acting U.S. attorney for Massachusetts said Wednesday.
Tarek Mehanna, 27, of Sudbury, Massachusetts, is charged with conspiring to aid terrorists and other crimes.

Tarek Mehanna, 27, of Sudbury, Massachusetts, traveled overseas, sought training from the Taliban, wanted to kill U.S. soldiers in Iraq and hoped to kill one or two members of the executive branch of the U.S. government, said Michael K. Loucks, the acting U.S. attorney for Massachusetts.
He declined to name the executive branch officials and said they were never in danger.
Mehanna was arrested a year ago after being accused of lying to FBI agents in a terrorism investigation, but the latest charges are more serious, Loucks said. Watch Loucks detail the charges »
Mehanna and co-conspirators planned trips overseas to try to join training camps and kill American soldiers, Loucks said. Mehanna and others traveled to Pakistan, Iraq, Syria and Yemen and sought training from groups including the Taliban, he said.
They also planned to attack at least one U.S. shopping mall, Loucks said, but that did not happen because they couldn't obtain the assault weapons they wanted, he said. He didn't name the mall.
Loucks said the men had planned to assault multiple entrances of the mall, and had determined the steps they would take when first responders arrived.
Mehanna also is charged with using material support and resources in a conspiracy to kill, kidnap, maim or injure people or to damage property in a foreign country, Loucks said.
"I think we're satisfied that we know every member of this group," the attorney said. "We do not believe that there are any terrorist cells in this area."

In addition, Mehanna obtained and watched videos of U.S. soldiers who were killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq, he said. He also watched videos showing the mutilation of the bodies of U.S. service members who had been killed in Iraq, he said.

Mehanna was arrested in November 2008 as he was about to board a flight at Logan International Airport in Boston, Loucks said. A like-minded colleague fled the United States, he said.

Hiya Erps - [this is all in jest boys and girls]
Now in answer to this;
Australia is about the size of the USA, but with less americans and yes, NZ would claim us as their west island. We humour them as you would a precocious child.

Q. Is Washington a place where everyone prances about in a wig and tights - like the original? OR geographically, is it below/beneath/sub Canada?
OK WW4 will be a little like this [notice the wig on the one on the left - thats you guys!]

Oh, as to the thread on Iraq - I was against us supporting you guys going in, but thats what treaties/pacts are for - support each other.

We don't wear wigs, we wear either Birchenstocks (expensive hippie sandals) in our west side cities, cowboy boots on the dry side and rubber barn boots everywhere else. You correctly identified our geography as being just south of igloo land where they talk funny too, end all their sentences in eh? As to Iraq, what does that have to do with anything? Doh, that's what the thread is about. Nevermind. Is there anyone who hasn't been offended yet?
