Has anyone, or know anyone who has had a shoulder replacement? There is lots of metal in the replacement and want to know if it affects the compass
or any other instruments. Thank you in advance.

I haven't but cant see it having enough of an effect on your compass. Plenty of metal in a boat. GPS compass comparison will tell you.

Agree, it's normally a small amount of metal, and typically surgical metals are non-magnetic. I have a bad knee and hip, surgery has been recommended a few times. Kind of nervous about it as I have a small steel sliver deep in the side of my palm, and if I get it close to a running electric motor, It heats up and HURTS. Ken.

I had a knee replaced earlier this year. Wish I had done it ten years ago. Impossible to describe the improvement. After years of being in pain and crippled, I am way active again. Have lost 35 lbs by moving around vs. sitting on my butt behind a computer because it hurt too much to walk far.
