Youu would think right, she was in excruciating pain about 5 hours ago, but since the epidural she has been in a cloud, a bunch of nurses and a doctor rushed in while she was sleeping, the babies heartbeat was going off the richter scale, I was traumatised by the whole experience to say the least, but after about 15-20 minutes the baby was in "fantastic shape" according the the nurse, by the looks of my girl and the monitor with the graph measuring the heart rate and contractions every seems to be completely normal. Talk about your White Squal's~!!

The doctor was actually preping her for an emergency C section at the time.

Now my mother-in-law is here and her and my girl are chatting it up as if they sitting around at home sipping tea. This while my girls contrations are now 2 minutes apart.

So here is me chatting it up waiting for that Magic moment. Imagine that...

Finest healthcare in the world No doubt...

This room is fantastic... couch matching chair, rocking chair, computer terminals to plug into, very nice. Baptist at the Beaches

As a father of two, I can tell you that I never felt more useless than when I was in the delivery room with my wife. Thank God for modern medicine, for doctors, nurses and epidurals When the time comes, let us know and we'll all yell PUSH! Keep us posted.

Come to find out all the dismay earlier was the result of medication they gave my girl to get her contractions moving along, the contractions where so close together that it made the heart beat of the baby so eradict that they were entertaining a c section. Talk about feeling helpless, I couldn't believe my eyes when looking at the graph.

I wound up in the bath room sobbing and praying...

I came back out about 10 minutes later and the situation was completely stable.

My wife was induced when it came time for my youngest daughter to be born. They started my wife on Petossin (sp?) and the waiting began... and we waited... and waited... almost 12 hours before her doctor broke her water to move things along. To this day my daughter still doesn't like to get out of bed (she's 10 now). When my first daughter was born, my wife was in labor a total of 90 minutes. My mother tells the story that I was almost born in the hospital elevator... (don't think this stuff is hereditary).

Passing out cigars yet?

Elevator?

No cigars yet...

I can't imagine how women can go threw hours and hours of labor pains like my girl had earlier, it would be 7 hours worth by now without the epidural.
